"I am entering my 4th year of teaching 2nd grade at Vista Charter Academy elementary school, and feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to teach and touch the lives of our students. The relationship built with our students is life-changing. We do so much more than just “teach”. I continue to be impressed at the level of dedication of our staff to reach each student both in school and out of school. Seeing the look on a student’s face when you show up at a dance recital or a football game is amazing. We truly care about our students reaching their fullest potential academically, socially and morally. Vista truly operates as if every child is a part of their family by the relationship built with every student and their families. I can’t imagine teaching anywhere else!"

2nd grade teacher, Vista Charter Academy

"The best way to describe Vista is as a 'hard-working community'. I have had the privilege of teaching here for the past 6 years. Academically there are many programs available to help all children reach their fullest potential. We have an established high achievers/gifted program that allow students to explore and participate in many hands-on activities. We have a phenomenal fine arts program that allows students to grow as individuals. Socially there are many venues for students to explore their interests. The administration at Vista is like none other I have seen before. They are in the classrooms, in the hallways, outside for recess, and at sporting events. They are so supportive of students, staff, and parents.

Students have so many opportunities for success at Vista! We truly are 'challenging each child to achieve' and I feel very fortunate to teach at such a school."

“Fall 2009 will be my 10th year working at Vista! I started working in the Vista office when my children were students here. It was nice to be close to them if they needed me, but I also love my job. It has been wonderful to watch so many children learn and grow. We really are a family around here. Our principals, teachers and all of our other staff always go out of their way to love, support and encourage all of our students, even if that student is having a difficult day. My own children no longer attend Vista, but whenever I am asked how many children I have, my answer is always the same. “I have one in college one in high school and about 650 who I borrow during the school year. I love them all!” I am proud to be a part of the Vista family and plan on being here for a very long time.”
