The elementary and middle school teachers and staff at Vista Charter Academy believe parental involvement is vital to a student’s academic success. Teachers usually offer volunteer opportunities for parents during and after school. In addition, teachers work with parents to ensure that there is regular communication to the home. This includes Friday Folders, meetings, phone calls and scheduling parent/teacher conferences.

The school computers are available for parents to log into their child’s AtSchool account which provides current information on the student’s academic progress including grades, homework, attendance, assignments, and school and classroom announcements. Evening parent computer classes were created so parents can learn how to access their child’s academic information and so they can obtain skills needed to assist their children with homework.

Coffee with the Principal
Parents are encouraged to attend the bi-monthly coffee with the principal. This is a great way to stay connected with Mr. Grandy and other parents. Dates and times can be found in the school newsletter or by calling the office.
