The kindergarten program focuses on aquiring literacy and math skills. It is a full day, five days a week, academically based program. In addition to a challenging kindergarten curriculum, the students experience some of the same academic electives as first-eighth graders. They receive Spanish instruction and attend a weekly computer class in which they learn basic keyboarding skills and are introduced to software programs. Students also have physical education instruction and an art class in which they learn about a number of art mediums, including clay and paper mache.
