Welcome to Vista Charter Academy
Vista Academy is a tuition-free, publicly funded charter school where students receive the individual attention they need to excel academically. Many of the school’s classes have two full-time teachers who either challenge accelerated students or assist those who would benefit from additional academic support. The school’s diverse culture provides a rich learning environment where students become socially well-rounded and competent. Students begin learning Spanish in the full-day kindergarten program and are taught to embrace diversity through music and art instruction that reflects the many colors and sounds of the world.
The principal, Joe Grandy, has more than thirty years of experience as an administrator, and is committed to creating a school environment that is safe, secure, and focused on values that are creatively integrated into the curriculum by teachers and staff. Students are praised for demonstrating the moral focus during weekly ceremonies designed to reinforce what it means to treat one another with respect and kindness through encouraging words and responsible actions.
